Position DescriptionJoin this dynamic organization as a Data Engineer! With your expertise, you will work with a high-performing team to consult, design, develop and deploy data solutions for a major client. You will support and interact with the client daily with a focus across the organization. You will have the opportunity to show/grow with technology in a customer-facing role. You should be able to work independently under limited supervision and apply your knowledge. You should have sufficient knowledge and maturity to effectively deal with technical issues and help to support the broader team. Your success will be directly related to our client’s success.

Your future duties and responsibilities• Working with other like-minded high performers within an Agile environment• Working with Product Managers and other team members to identify and define data requirements• Experience in building data pipelines, Data Modeling and automation• Continuously improve software engineering practices.• Writing unit tests and automation tests to prevent regressions• Occasionally assisting with the investigation and resolution of support issues• Using your experience to contribute to the continuous improvement of our processes and culture

Required qualifications to be successful in this role• 5-7+ years of experience working as a Data Engineer• In-depth knowledge of Python, Shell Scripting, Py-spark• Experience with Apache Spark• Experience working with cloud solutions (AWS preferred)• Proficient in writing complex SQL queries in both SQL and NoSQL Databases• Understanding of build and deployment processes• A proficient understanding of distributed version control tools and source control strategies• Excellent communications skills and analytical skills

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS/NON-ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED• Experience working in agile environments• Demonstrated ability and interest in learning new technologies• Candidates should be self-starters and have the ability to work in a fast paced, demanding, and rapidly changing environment• Ability to perform detailed analysis of business problems and technical environments.• Strong oral and written communication skills.• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.• Health Care / Health Services business area subject matter expertise preferred• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science on related discipline with at least 7+ years of recent experience designing, developing, deploying, and supporting computing applications in a large-scale, midrange, and distributed environment as a Technical Lead / Senior Software Engineer
