Position Description CGI has an immediate need for Sr Data Technical Analyst / Developer to join our life sciences practice area. This is an exciting full-time opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest leaders in the pharmaceutical industry. We take an innovative approach to supporting our client, working side-by-side in an agile environment using emerging technologies.

Position can be done from the following locations: Belton, Texas, Lafayette, Louisiana, Knoxville, Tennessee, Wausau, Wisconsin, Waterville, Maine, Lebanon, Virginia & Troy, Alabama.

Your future duties and responsibilities As an Sr Data Technical Analyst / Developer, you will act as a key participant in data analysis, data development, execution, defect tracking, and reporting utilizing tools like ETL, Power BI and Clik. The candidate must have demonstrated experience in data quality development and familiarity with test management, an understanding of best practices, SDLC Scrum and Agile methodologies, as well as strong problem-solving abilities and leadership skills.

Your future duties and responsibilities• Collaborate with CGI cross-functional teams to analyze, design, and detail the technical aspects and feasibility of proposed solutions• Interacting with the IT and Business Teams by actively participating in requirement/design reviews, providing input on completeness of functional & technical requirements, design elements and schedules• Collaborates with the Solution Architect to devise and implement technical solutions• Formulates and defines scope and objectives pertaining to the technical solution• Analyzes and revises solution or data quality logic based on current environment or technology challenges.• Coordinates with the on-shore/near-shore/off-shore developers for both enhancements and fixing defects• Works with the Business Analyst to translate business requirements to actionable technical requirements• Coordinates with the Project Manager to schedule releases, set timing expectations, and communicate status• Creates or modifies code to resolve problems considering computer equipment (on-premise or cloud) capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results• Prepares technical deliverables and/or provides input to other deliverables related to the IT service• Monitoring the completion of tasks within time and cost constraints and ensuring that technical and functional objectives are met• Works with the Test Lead to ensure technology and data are relevant for testing in test environments.• Provides on-going technical support for all related IT deliverables• Knowledge or familiarity in software development, Software deployment, Server & hardware installations, platform configuration, DevOps, Agile-Scrum and PM principles would be a nice to have• Familiarity or knowledge of automation testing environments would be a nice to have• Identifying areas of improvement across the program• Goal oriented with high standards for quality and performance

Required qualifications to be successful in this role• Hands on knowledge and experience with data quality tools like Informatica, Cognos Tibco, Power BI, ETL and Clik.• Exposure and familiarity to SDLC, Agile and Waterfall models• Strong skills in SQL, Oracle• Familiarity with process automation tools would be a plus• Familiarity in TDD (Test Driven Development) would be a nice plus (not required)• Familiarity with various automated testing environments would be a nice to have (not required)• Familiarity in test automation, test cases, defecting management tools would be a nice to have.• Strong written and verbal communication skills• Self-starter/Self-directed with the ability to work independently and have critical creative thinking essential• Strong understanding or hands-on experience with data quality, data profiling, data structures, data classification and metadata• Experience in multiple areas of implementations including Data Profiling, data migration, validation, reject processing and pre-landing processing• Knowledge or familiarity in software development, Software deployment, Server & hardware installations, platform configuration, DevOps, Agile-Scrum and PM principles would be a nice to have• Familiarity or knowledge of automation testing environments would be a nice to have
