8/21/2019Job DescriptionThe Electrical Engineering Technician (Salaried) is the first level of electrical support in the manufacturing plant providing leadership, coaching and clear direction to assist people with addressing electrical maintenance issues to meeting customer demand, solve technical problems, and meet production goals. The primary function of the Salaried Electrical Technician is to plan, oversee and coordinate electrical technical support for maintenance execution of facility, equipment and machinery. The incumbent must be able to seek cooperation from others and must develop relationships to resolve electrical and control problems. This position is responsible for:

Teaching hourly craftsmen how to execute front line trouble shooting activities on equipment in area of responsibility.

Follow all safety procedures LOTOTO/PPE/Confined Space/Burning Permits/Fall Protection.

Creating a proactive maintenance environment by driving preventative maintenance and other planned work.

Assisting in performing root cause analysis with the goal to eliminate maintenance downtime.

Driving continuous improvement activities to eliminate all waste, especially as related to maintenance downtime, safety, work practices, and employee involvement.

Providing any necessary input to the Maintenance Shift Supervisor regarding applicable labor issues within the work area.

Working closely with production areas to understand their key issues, equipment, and assist with improvements.

QualificationsBasic Qualifications:

Associates' Degree from an accredited institution.

Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs, Drives, and panelviews

Must be willing to work some weekends.

Ability to work 7am EST - 3:pm EST

Employees must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S> person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S> Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred:

3-5 years working in heavy industrial manufacturing

Experience working with Hydraulics and pneumatics

Well-developed communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Sense of urgency under pressure for the decision-making process

Experience troubleshooting networked components

Experience with combustion systems a plus
