Position Description: CGI is seeking a IBMi Developer with LegSuite experience, with the ability to effectively deal with business needs and technical issues and help to support the broader team.

Join this dynamic organization as a Developer, with your expertise, you will work with a high-performing team to consult and develop solutions for a major client. You will support and interact with the client daily with a focus across the organization.

You will have the opportunity to show and grow with technology in a customer-facing role. You should be able to work independently under limited supervision and apply your knowledge.

Your success will be directly related to CGI's and our client's success. Your future duties and responsibilities:• Design, modify, develop, write and implement software programming applications for IBM I / Power systems using High level programming languages.• Coding the MC400 application.• Design, modify, develop and implement database objects on DB2 for I using high level languages like DB2 SQL for I and tools like iSeries Navigator for I.• Perform and Support installs of software applications / operating systems on IBM I / Power system.• Develop and maintain complex software applications implemented on IBMi using tools like Change management, SEU, Aldon source control, IBM Rational Developer for I (IBM RDi), IBM iAccess, iSeries Navigator.• Use SDLC process for requirement gathering, analysis, design, development, application architecture and testing based on Waterfall/Agile/Scrum methodologies.• Participate in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software built on IBMi and its peripherals.• Scope and estimate the projects for IBMi.• Write technical, System and Release documentation adhering to quality processes and coding standards; troubleshoots complex problems related to software built on IBM Power systems / IBMi and Peripheral systems built on Windows.• Work on multiple software development and enhancement projects with varying deadlines, coordinate work with business, QA and other teams including offshore Development team.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:• 7+ years of High-level programming, with languages like RPG, RPG Free, SQLRPGLE, SQL, PL/SQL, CL• 2+ years of experience with Rocket Software (LegaSuite).• Exeperince with Web technologies like XML, WSDL.• Good Scripting experience with languages preferably like QSHELL.• Knowledge of MC400 product and coding.• Experience with DB2 SQL for I and tools like iSeries Navigator for I (to create database objects on DB2).

Desired qualifications/non-essential skills:• Experience with installing software applications in IBMi /Power Systems.• Knowledge on Change management, SEU, Aldon source control, IBM Rational Developer for I (IBM RDi), IBM iAccess, iSeries Navigator to develop/maintain software.• Work experience in Agile/Waterfall/Scrum teams.• Testing Experience - test review, analysis, test witnessing and certification.• Estimation knowledge for IBMi projects.• Can write technical, systems and release documentation.• Can coordinate work between business, QA and other teams.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $66,300 - $146,900.
