We are seeking an individual with deep compliance experience to lead the CO+I Supplier Assurance team, which performs supplier screening and due diligence. As the Director, you will play a key role in the supplier’s lifecycle by seeking innovative and effective approaches to identify, assess and mitigate risk.As a Supplier Assurance Director, you will oversee and lead the Supplier Screening Program and work to ensure Strategic and Preferred vendors are compliant with requirements and other contractually required activities. You will contribute to the success of the CO+I business by driving compliance excellence and performance quality among third-party suppliersYou will partner with teams across CO+I, as well as other organizations within Microsoft including Business Operations, Corporate Procurement and Third-Party Compliance Engineering to drive and incorporate best practices.You should understand the criticality of compliance to Microsoft's success and will ideally have experience with supplier monitoring and controls across large and complex organizations. You are organized, self-motivated, have a strong attention to detail, and robust communication skills to help drive compliance in a fast-paced and ambiguous organization.This position will lead the Supplier Assurance team reporting to the Sr. Director of the Global Supply Chain Center of ExcellenceIn alignment with our Microsoft values, we are committed to cultivating an inclusive work environment for all employees to positively impact our culture every day.ResponsibilitiesLead the Supplier Assurance team, that manages the supplier vetting program for CO+I (includes ABAC, financial and human rights vetting).

Serve as the subject matter expert for CO+I Supplier Screening program, answering questions and providing guidance and support as needed to internal stakeholders

Lead a team of compliance professionals, focused on the supplier screening program

Serve as the primary point of contact for our supplier screening partners, to ensure a smooth enrollment and screening process in accordance with agreed upon parameter and expectations

Build strong relationships with subject matter experts across the company

Monitor and review screening reporting for suppliers with flagged or non-passing ratings to determine whether escalation, remediation, suspension and/or termination may be needed

When appropriate, present recommendations for remediation, suspension or termination and obtain approval from designated internal stakeholders prior to taking action

Obtain quotes and/or conduct benchmarking research to estimate third-party supplier costs in support of overall proposal efforts

Provide or recommend content in response to procurement related questions or issues

Regularly assess and continuously improve screening programs.

Lead the creation and dissemination of monthly program metrics to inform leadership.

QualificationsRequired/Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, or related field AND 8+ years work experience in supplier compliance, assurance, audit, risk OR equivalent experience.

6+ years management (e.g., people, project, process, vendor, change) experience.

4 years of experience in contracting/contract management and with supplier-related policies, controls or processes.

4 years of experience working in a multi-jurisdictional, highly-matrixed company.

Preferred Qualifications:Experience with land development or the construction industry.

Experience with data center operations

Experience working in a multinational, publicly traded company

Ability to understand and manage through complex situations

Manage sensitive and confidential information appropriately and with a high level of discretion

In addition, this position requires:

Demonstrated ability to successfully manage large scale change and influence in a matrixed organization.

Prior experience in managing by influence across multiple teams/groups across an organization.

Demonstrated customer focus – evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer and develops processes to deliver outcomes that meet corporate, operations and sourcing goals.

Change oriented, actively generates process improvements; champions and drives change initiatives; confronts difficult circumstances in creative ways, balances multiple and competing priorities and executes accordingly.

Undaunted by challenges with a drive for executiondelivering excellent results under tight, pressure filled timelines.
