The Emergency Room JNT is responsible for delivery of non-professional customer care according to the established policies of the department, West Jefferson Medical Center and the Louisiana State Board of Nursing. The Emergency Room JNT demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to assist the nursing personnel in providing care to acutely ill adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, medical, surgical, and post critical care needs. The Emergency Room JNT works in collaboration with and under direct supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN) in the delivery of care to patients who are at minimal-to –moderately high risk, and to a large extent care is routine, standardized and outcomes are predictable. The Emergency Room JNT recognizes his/her personal and legal limitations and seeks assistance and guidance appropriately.
