This position requires a minimum of# two (2) years experience in a critical care/step down/telemetry unit. Clinical degree preferably in Nursing required.# Must possess a superior level of knowledge and experience with all forms or cardiac angiography, bypass/valve procedures, cardiovascular anatomy and function.# Is fluent with nomenclature and terminology describing coronary anatomy and function.Current#license to practice in the State of Louisiana.# Must possess a thorough knowledge of CMS and JCAHO standards and guidelines for performance improvement.# Experience in statistical analysis and performance improvement. The Clinical Quality Analyst will perform concurrent, focused and retrospective patient care reviews using approved and established criteria to collect data for quality management activities. Responsible for the accuracy and the integrity of the Hospital approved databases.# Helps compile reports for comparative purposes with the national databases. Will be responsible for the collection of post-procedure elements requested in the databases and responsible for educating other QM Review Nurses in all matters pertinent to the data collection, storage and retrieval.# Will be responsible for the collection, accuracy, monitoring, evaluating and reporting of all data from the JCAHO and CMS Core Measure Programs.# Acts as a liaison for hospital and medical staff departments and communicates effectively in matters pertaining to Medical Staff and Hospital quality management.
