DescriptionHumana's Claims Process Organization is looking for a Senior Data & Reporting Professional to join the team working remotely anywhere in the US. The Senior Data and Reporting Professional generates ad hoc reports and regular datasets or report information for end-users using system tools and database or data warehouse queries and scripts.ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Data and Reporting Professional integrates data from multiple sources to produce requested or required data elements. Additionally, they will program and maintain report forms and formats, information dashboards, data generators, audit universes, canned reports and other end-user information portals or resources and may create specifications for reports based on business requests.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop data sets to support reporting based on business requests and/or regulatory requirements
Develop automated reporting processes
Ensure processes run timely and efficiently
Collaborate to solve analytical problems with the team and other partners across the organization
Deliver data insights to leadership to support decision making
Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
Strong knowledge of database, data modeling, and warehouse concepts
Experience writing ad-hoc SQL queries a must, exposure to or experiences in SQL development a plus - PL/SQL, T-SQL)
3+ years of experience in creating automated processes (SSIS)
Strong data analysis and research skills, either in educational or work environment
Ability to understand business needs and translate to comprehensive outcomes through data visualization
Ability to manage time, drive priorities and successfully self-motivate to complete tasks in a fast paced and high-profile environment
Ability to connect the dots between reporting requirements and the database structure(s) needed to support that reporting in an optimized manner
Must be extremely detail oriented, with excellent organization skills and extensive attention to detail and accuracy
Self-starter who can pick up a project, follow processes and execute the required metrics implementation work with minimal supervision
Proficiency in verbal and written communication to senior and executive leadership
Work at Home/Remote RequirementsMust ensure designated work area is free from distractions during work hours and virtual meetings
Must provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a workspace (Satellite, Wireless and Hotspots are prohibited). A minimum standard speed of 10x1 (10mbs download x 1mbs upload) for optimal performance is required
Preferred QualificationsAdvanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
Advanced proficiency (including certification) in SQL, SAS and other data systems
Six Sigma or similar certification
Experience in a system analytics and/or data warehousing environment
Experience with Microsoft PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik, or similar tools
Experience with audits and/or regulatory reporting to state and/or federal entities, like Departments of Insurance or Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)
