Job Description
This person reports to the Pastor and/or the Director of Music
In consultation with the Pastor and/or the Director of Music, the accompanist shall provide instrumental music for all regular Sunday services. (Typically: prelude, hymns, offertory, special music, and postlude but subject to change).
In consultation with the Pastor and/or the Director of Music, the accompanist shall provide instrumental music for special services of the church as needed. Including but not limited to: Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, Christmas Eve, etc.
The accompanist shall meet with the choir(s), soloist(s), and ensemble(s) for rehearsal(s) as requested by the Pastor and/or Director of Music.
Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to provide instrumental music from hymns
Reliable to attend each Sunday and special services
Having a servant's attitude and heart
Mission Statement: "Make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world"
