New Orleans Restaurant Management Company seeks an experienced Controller for supervision of accounting staff, accurate and timely financial reporting, focus on business profitability, compliance with laws and regulations, and tax preparations. Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in accounting, CPA required
3 years of restaurant accounting experience preferred but not required
Knowledge of Microsoft word and excel
Responsibilities
Plan, direct, and coordinate accounting operational functions
Monitor and analyze budget-to-actual expenses
Assist in establishing and maintaining internal controls, policies and procedures
Perform monthly bank reconciliations
Conduct internal audits
Maintain required records, reports, and files
Preparation of month-end close including gathering and entry of data necessary for analysis
Prepare internal and external financial statements
Coordinate and prepare the annual budget processes and reporting
Supervision of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
Communicate with upper management regarding forecasting, budgets, financial and cash flow
Work with restaurant management to improve business processes and opportunities
