Summary The Solutions Architect is a strong technical leader with a history of designing and implementing enterprise class technology solutions. The Solutions Architect will support the organization by designing complex solutions that enable Tulane's mission, improve operational effectiveness, and service quality in the short-term by building technology that will last for the long-term.The Solutions Architect will work closely with key business stakeholders, other architects, and the technical, security, and operational teams to aggressively drive forward Tulane's digital transformation. The Solutions Architect will develop, document, and sign-off on architectural decisions, solutions, and designs that address non-functional requirements while meeting business needs to project delivery teams for implementation and provide architectural assessments, strategies, and roadmaps to leadership. This role will also assist in defining scope and size of work, selecting third-party solutions, providing proof of concepts, and mentoring delivery teams. This Solutions Architect interacts with all technology leaders to ensure that technical standards, frameworks, and processes are applicable across multiple applications and business capability areas. You will also help drive common vision, practices, and capabilities across teams. Required Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in design/implementation with distributed applications AND
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM preferred and a minimum of 8 years of professional experience
  • OR Master's degree in a Computer Science related field with 6 years of relevant experience OR PhD with 3 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; Master's degree strongly preferred
  • 7-15+ years experience in an IT-related field fostering functional and technical requirements, designing integrated architectures, and implementing/integrating technology solutions
  • 5+ years of experience in design/implementation with distributed applications
