- Responsible for managing the safe performance of the maintenance workforce while driving overall continuous improvement in the area of safety
- Responsible for maintaining all production and non-production equipment, facility wide, within fiscal guidelines, while maintaining safety and quality
- Responsible to maintain and improve preventative and predictive maintenance programs insuring timely completion of related work
- Responsible for developing and maintaining a maintenance management process including, but not limited to, maintenance scheduling, planning, history, capital project management and spare parts
- Define job expectations and performance goals for maintenance function
- Determine and assign priorities to multiple projects, coordinate the departmental workload of employees who repair and maintain buildings/facilities
- Oversee layout of equipment, office, and production facilities.
- Work with the Health, Safety and Environmental group to formulate general safety policies and procedures
- Oversee contractors for facilities renovation projects entailing, HVAC, electrical, production floor arrangement, etc.
- Oversees the preparation of work instructions and pre-established guidelines for staff to perform the functions of their job
- Responsible for managing the security of the facility
- Responsible for managing and maintaining productive working relationships with internal customers as well as outside vendors
- Must possess the necessary skills to troubleshoot machine problems and have the ability to assist in the repair of equipment
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Industrial Technology or equivalent experience required
- Computer skills with MicroSoft Office and AutoCad preferred
- Proficiency with blue print and electrical diagram reading required.
- Structural, Hydraulics, Electrical, Pneumatics and Mechanical background preferred.
- Experience with maintenance management systems, project management and previous supervisory or management roles.
- 7-10 years working experience in a facilities and maintenance environment
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes in an industrial, construction, and/or project engineering environment.
- Familiar with machine tools and standard shop tools
- Able to simultaneously manage both small and large projects with a high degree of success.
