About the RoleThe IT Technician will be responsible for:

Troubleshooting and resolving end-user issues quickly to maximize billable time

Troubleshooting and resolving network connectivity issues

Setup and configuration of physical hardware, virtual machines, servers, and mobile devices

Communicating well with end-users and with other IT Technicians

Administering Active Directory, Google Apps, Apple devices, Linux and Windows servers, and various other cloud-based services

Creating documentation for common end-user issues

Creating documentation for common and/or useful procedures for other IT Technician

Researching, testing, reviewing, and documenting new tools, software, systems, and methods

Improving our network security and infrastructure

DesiredÂSkillsFamiliarity with theÂfollowing:

1 year of experience.ÂWed like you to have at least one year of experience in a related field, but we also love self starters and students and will consider equivalent experience

Familiarity with at least one scripting language.ÂAutomate repetitive tasks so you can focus on new challenging problems. Bash, Python, JavaScript, Powershell, and moreÂare all used

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.ÂYoull be talking with everyone from trainees to company executives, so its very important that you be able to express yourself well

A passion for technical puzzles and picking apart problems.ÂSome bugs are tricky to nail down, and some technical problems are hard to solve. We love challenge, and so should you

Interest in new technologies and an aptitude for picking them up quickly.ÂWe move quickly and work with a wide variety of tech; its important that you enjoy gaining new skills

Preferred SkillsWe would like you to have experience with any of the following:

Android, iOS, and Windows mobile operating systems

Intermediate to advanced knowledge of nix systems

Knowledge of network security best practices

ExposureÂto configuration management software such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.
