Job Description: Responsibilities:
  • This professional will serve as a critical support role to assess the fiscal impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and use the various sources of federal financial assistance Maine has received to address identified impacts.
  • This initiative has a broad base with numerous elements including: communication and outreach across multiple stakeholder groups; research, data collection, analysis and reconciliation; and public reporting via a website.
  • The Business Analyst will work under the direction of the Director to define, analyze, design, and implement various reconciliation and reporting projects.
  • The OSC Management will assign analysis directives to the Business analyst in alignment with the project’s overall mission: the timely reconciliation and reporting of administered federal assistance, including Coronavirus Relief Funds (CRF).
Qualifications:
  • Highly organized and problem-solver.
  • Work on multiple projects at the same time.
  • Complete projects with minimal supervision.
  • Skilled in identifying, planning, and working via clear priority-setting.
  • Independently and effectively manages time using common-sense priority setting.
  • Creative problem solver in using various technologies.
  • Strong verbal, listening, and written skills.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc), databases (SQL etc), programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks).
  • Proficient in MS Excel and Word.
Preferred:
  • Knowledge of Finance processes and government grant writing processes.
Skills:
  • Highly organized and problem-solver.
  • Work on multiple projects at the same time.
  • Complete projects with minimal supervision.
