Type of Requisition: RegularClearance Level Must Be Able to Obtain: NonePublic Trust/Other Required: NoneJob Family: Financial AnalysisGDIT is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our team to support finance activities for our programs.As a Financial Analyst Advisor level employee, you’ll be responsible for performing specialized financial analysis and planning activities following company and division guidelines in support of various functions such as budgeting, auditing, and financial planning. Determine cost of operations by establishing standard costs by collecting and forecasting operational data. Improve financial status by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending actions to management.In this role, a typical day will include:Responsibility for various financial functions such as cost accounting, revenue recognition, subcontractor financial management, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, EAC development, AP invoice and AR billing reviews, purchase requisition reviews, proposal pricing support, CDRL support, other program requested ad hoc reporting and other analysis as required for assigned programs and new business opportunities within the sub-sector.

Preparation, analysis, and input of revenue, cost and investment totals for monthly outlook, quarterly forecast, and annual strategic plans for assigned programs (in collaboration with program management team).

Providing monthly variance analysis and opportunity and risk assessments.Preparation and analysis of various financials for monthly close process.

Interface and collaboration with program management staff and other business leaders on a regular basis.

Leading the creation of financial monthly business review information for assigned programs to provide insight into the business.

Reviewing and understanding contract terms and support job setup and modifications in financial database (Oracle).

Collection, review, and reconciliation of financial data from various sources and financial systems.

Creation, maintenance, and updating of financial databases and spreadsheets, and generates various financial reports as required.

Analysis of assigned contracts’ projected staff hours, contract totals, revenues, and profit totals.

Supporting assigned managers in managing, tracking, monitoring, and reporting financial data as requested.

Ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures, as well as other government regulations.

Maintaining current knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Providing guidance and leadership to less-experienced financial analysts within the sub-sector.

Potentially serving as a team or task leader.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s Degree in Finance (or related business discipline).

8+ years of relevant experience in Financial Analysis or related field.

Proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel (Pivot Tables, vlookups, etc).

Experience in Government Contracting.

Experience with multiple contract types (Fixed Price, Fixed Unit Price, T&M and/or Cost Type Contracts).

Forecasting skills with the ability to understand the impact of business decisions on P&L.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Experience working with project management for budget development, project planning, and supporting financial activities.

Oracle experience.

Hyperion/Essbase/Smartview experience.

Advanced forecasting skills with the ability to provide analysis to business leaders.
