The Nurse Graduate will begin an orientation program (didactic and clinical) in a structured setting with a defined educational program for the orientation of new graduates under the continuous, on-site supervision of a registered professional nurse. The Nurse Graduate must pass the NCLEX® examination within 3 months of starting orientation.Schedule - Orientation schedule will be determined by the Unit Director. After Orientating you will be placed into an RN role based on current openings and department’s needs. Education Requirements

Must be eligible for State of Maine RN Licensure

Successful completion of the NCLEX® within three months

BLS required within 30 days of hire

Other Skill Required

Demonstrated professional nursing behaviors including collaborative approaches to care

Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team

Effective interpersonal skills

Possess excellent written and oral communication skills

Must be able to communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital staff in accordance with established policies and procedures

Must be able to demonstrate patient centered/patient valued behaviors
