An established health system located in northern Maine is currently searching for an experienced Certified Nurse Midwife to join their accredited healthcare team.
This organization provides access to world-class acute care services to a population of roughly 14,000 people. The inpatient services provided include cardiology, emergency medicine, orthopedics, wound care, and women's health. This system also provides various outpatient services including laboratory procedures, physical therapy, occupational therapy, radiology, chemotherapy, same-day surgery, cardiac and pulmonary rehab, nutritional counseling, home health, and respiratory care.
Under limited supervision, the Certified Nurse Midwife will provide expert obstetric, gynecologic, primary, and preventative care to female patients. The Certified Nurse Midwife will operate as an independent practitioner with the ability to admit patients, and provides consultations, and collaborates with and refers to physician partners. The Certified Nurse Midwife will provide care during the intrapartum setting and provide OB/GYN assessment and labor and delivery management in a hospital setting.
Requirements Include:- Graduate of a state approved school of Nursing
- Registered Nurse RN license in state of Maine or ability to obtain
- Certification as a Certified Nurse Midwife
- Prior experience delivering care for women and infants in an obstetric setting
