Lead Teacher
Job Duties-
Help to manage daily operations of childcare facility, actively working as an infant/toddler classroom teacher, provide age appropriate activities for age group served, maintain positive relations with staff, children, families and the community, follow state rules and regulations, abide by center policies and attend staff meetings, meet Quality for Maine Guidelines and assist where needed.
Qualifications-
The Lead Teacher must be at least 21 years of age, hold an Associate’s Degree or higher in ECE or a closely related field and be CPR/First Aid certified. A minimum work experience of 1 year in the field with direct supervision of infants through preschool aged children is required. Candidate must be willing to undergo background checks and extensive training including online course work. Also, good time management, oral and written communication skills, and a strong familiarity with Maine’s Early Learning Guidelines, NAEYC, Curriculum Development/Assessment and ECE “Best Practices”.
