LincolnHealth is seeking a Dietary Aide and Cook in Damariscotta. The Dietary Aide is responsible for preparing and serving food to residents and visitors; assures the facility's cleanliness; record keeping; and maintenance of equipment and supplies. The Dietary Aides perform a wide range of food service and sanitation duties to assist in the overall function of the Food Services Team.The Cook is responsible for preparing and serving food in the Cove's Edge kitchen. Assures the facility's cleanliness, record keeping, maintenance of equipment and supplies.

Dietary Aide Qualifications:

No prior experience or training.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, interpret documents such as Safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers.

Ability to perform operations using units of American money and weight measurements, volume and distance.

Ability to apply commonsense understanding and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Cook Qualifications:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Previous food service experience required.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
