Vet At Your Door is searching for our Receptionist / Veterinary House Call Helper Extraordinaire!
Vet At Your Door, a fast-growing and award-winning house call veterinary practice, is looking for the glue that connects our company together. This person would be in charge of answering phones and emails from our awesome clients, scheduling appointments for all three of our branches (Portland Area, Southern Maine, and Western Mountains), supporting our staff in the field, and maintaining our excellent reputation regarding customer service. About 2 days per week, this person would go in the field and assist our doctors on house calls. The other 3 days per week, he/she would be mostly working from home. The ideal candidate would also have veterinary experience maybe a tech or assistant whose joints are feeling the burn from daily animal wrangling but love this industry, or a receptionist who likes to get their hands on animals a bit too.
This person needs to live in the Greater Portland Area, be extremely detail-oriented, be technologically savvy, enjoy working as part of a team, be able to write well, have impeccable customer service skills), be a lover of animals and people alike, and have some veterinary knowledge or an extreme desire to learn about the veterinary world.
This is not a short-term position. We want this person to feel so integrated into our practice that they think of it as their own and like they could never leave. Everyone who has started with us, is still here.
Hours would be 40 hours per week, divided between time at home and time in the field. No weekends! We take pride in having one of the best company cultures in Maine, supporting a good work/life balance and well, we hire nice people, and our clients are nice, and the animals are (mostly) nice. In other words, we take care of you and each other so we can best take care of our patients and clients. We may be biased but this could be one of the best jobs in Maine!
