Ensures engineering and operational excellence by collaborating across the organization to define development standards and implement such data solutions that align with our broader technology strategy and ultimately drive a superior customer experience. Directs and develops the teams responsible for developing and improving our data platforms improving time to market, delivery, operations, and customer experience. Accountable for platform & product innovation provisioning, BI portal tools and self-service.Responsibilities• Partners with teams from product, to infrastructure and application development. Leads continual improvements within platforms and services that allow decreased time to market for new customer experiences.• Ensures teams have appropriate support to meet goals and ensure that project risks are identified, mitigated and communicated to stakeholders.• Promotes a culture of data-driven operations by ensuring that all application functions and screens are deeply instrumented and monitored.• Ensures operational efficiency and availability of all systems and applications.• Ensures that the platforms and services are compliant with industry and government regulations, while protecting our data assets with the highest levels of security.• Promotes adoption of systems/tools/processes where appropriate.• Promotes a strong customer service and business-oriented ethic in the entire team.• Prepares the capital and operating budgets for the cost center and analyzes interdepartmental reports as they relate to the cost center. Achieves cost center projections through labor expense and administrative expense controls.• Build and lead a best-in-class team and facilitate their success in maintaining and improving the confidence of internal and external constituencies• Lead and inspire IT teams to develop and establish a high performing, service driven culture committed to failing fast, leaning out waste and, delivering business value.• Develop leaders and team members for building a pipeline of succession; provide ongoing feedback and coaching related to performance; prioritizing associate engagement and being a champion for diversity.• Additional job duties may be assigned as needed to meet the needs of the business and support our Values.Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in Technology / Business or equivalent experience• 8+ years' experience in data platform, program and/or product services• 5+ years leadership experience• Successful track record leading similar teams• Strong leader who can easily work effectively at all levels of an organizations• Foster a collaborative spirit to build strong interpersonal relationships• Ability to be effective across a matrixed organization and leverage cross functional roles to drive success• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills• Financial acumen needed to drive program results and profitability• Deep knowledge of Agile methodology (SAFe preferred)• Certification in Cloud (Preferably Azure)• Strong experience in DevOps pipelines Ex - Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions etc• Strong experience in developing IaC using Terraform, Azure Resource Manager or Ansible• Experience leading cloud data engineering teams, BI/Reporting Data Products and/or related platforms• Strong Cloud Infrastructure experience to enforce better security, network and compute scaling options• Demonstrated ability to grow, mentor team members• Customer focused and Solutions Oriented mindset• Ability to lead technical discussions with other Engineering Leaders, Solutions and Enterprise Architects• Experience working on and supporting distributed computing applications like spark, kafka, Hadoop etc• Security first mindset to ensure better security across the data platforms #li-mm1 #remote #zr #dicejobs Retail Business Services is an equal opportunity employer.
