QA Portfolio Manager will work to support the Quality Assurance process for Projects within the Finance, Supply Chain and/or Merchandising Portfolios out of the Carlisle, PA; Greenville, SC; Salisbury, NC; Quincy, MA or Scarborough, ME Office and will work an average of 45 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

Within the Finance, Supply Chain and/or Merchandising Portfolios of Projects and supporting an external QA Team

(No direct reports)
  • Supervises the testing activities and assignments of the Senior QA Analysts, QA Analyst and Associate QA Analysts on the team spanning multiple projects
  • Manages and monitors all QA test activities for assigned projects to ensure timely planning, execution and project and QA reporting.
  • Assists less experienced analysts with complex problems regarding testing approaches, application knowledge, and technical knowledge. Coaches less experienced QA Analysts and Associate QA Analysts in writing of test cases.
  • Prioritizes, plans, and schedules resources to test efforts for timely completion and promotion to production.
  • Leads the QA participation during requirements/design reviews and provides feedback on new/enhanced Business Requirements and high level Technical Designs.
  • Ensures requirements and design artifacts undergo reviews to proactively validate appropriate applicability, accuracy, feasibility, usability, clarity, and testability.
  • Manages the development and maintenance of test plans, scenarios, test sets/test cases and automated test scripts. Develops these testing artifacts as needed.
  • Interfaces with business subject matter experts to understand the business process, metrics and language to comprehensively support and understand business rules that drive testing scenarios. Conducts research on business subject areas to develop test objectives and conditions. Ensures test plans and related documents properly address business needs.
  • Monitors progress of testing and makes necessary changes to test plans, cases and scripts to ensure that quality standards and production deadlines are met.
  • Manages the creation and framing of test scenarios/cases that emulate real-world business activities and operations in a controlled test environment.
  • Mentors QA Analysts and Associate QA Analysts for their test sets/test cases and performs peer reviews of the test sets/test cases to ensure appropriate coverage, identifies and remedies gaps in test coverage.

Qualifications:
  • 3-5 yrs Quality Assurance Leadership Experience managing Outsourced teams
  • Supply Chain, Finance and/or Merchandising Background Experience
  • Strong Mainframe Testing Background including Batch Testing.
  • Strong working knowledge of ITIL v3 and QA Release Management disciplines
  • Certification in ISTQB, PMP, software quality assurance, testing, release management (IPRC) or ITIL v3 is a plus
  • Advanced degree is a plus

  • Strong work ethic and commitment to professional continuous development
  • Effectively balance the "customer" focus needed with the internal management and resource allocation needs of the position
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and solutions and to set and manage priorities judiciously
  • Ability to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
