This is a great job for someone who has a strong interest in networking hardware and software. We need someone who is well versed in interfacing, security, Internet protocols and server and network infrastructure. Robert Half is hiring candidates with a high attention to detail and a passion for the field for a Network Engineer role. This long-term contract / temporary to hire Network Engineer position is located in the Unity, Maine area.Key responsibilities- Initiate and manage network test facilities- Contribute top-notch support and technical expertise in networking technology such as hubs, bridges, hardware and routers- Engineer enterprise data, voice, and video networks by using traditional and creative methods- Work collaboratively with vendors, clients, carriers and technical staff on network implementation, optimization and ongoing management- Maintain a secure transfer of data to a variety of locations via internal and external networks Requirements - Background working with TCP/IP Networking- Adeptness in Linux System Administration- Deep understanding of VOIP (voice over IP)- Single Sign-On experience highly preferred- Demonstrated knowledge of Server Migration- Network architecture experience preferred- Foundational knowledge in VoIP System- General familiarity with server management and administration- Practical knowledge of Single Sign-On- Basic Network Troubleshooting experience- Linux experience- Networking experience- An understanding of networking such as switching and routing is highly valued Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
