The Munis State Reporting Development Team is responsible for all State Reporting functionality offered within the Munis ERP product including state-specific retirement reporting, payroll and financial related integrations, year-end processing, and more. The team is comprised of Software Engineers, Quality Assurance Specialists, and Support Technicians which is unique as this is the only team in the department responsible for both Development and Support initiatives. The Software Engineering Manager of this team will be responsible for staffing the team, scheduling of development initiatives, managing and reporting project health and progress, and ultimately providing high quality state reporting solutions to clients. The ideal candidate has experience with Agile development methods, product ownership, managing a development team, managing large projects, current technical skills, excellent communication skills, and proven ability to collaborate across multiple Tyler teams. Work with our innovative software solutions that help local government and school districts centralize data and connect their organizations. By working to develop and support our financial management solutions, you can help integrate our solutions with human resources, revenue management, tax billing, and asset management. Location Yarmouth, Maine Travel 0-5% Responsibilities Agile project planning to manage feature initiatives and customer commitments. Build and manage the development team/staff with an ability to react to and manage competing priorities. Utilizing collaboration with Tyler staff resources and expertise, provide technical leadership and guidance for development team in the area of database design, UI, and tech stack. Perform the role of Product Owner, balancing competing stakeholder needs to deliver the highest value to market. Provide transparency of project work and progress for stakeholders, presented in formats relevant to their user personas / areas of interest. Work in a collaborative fashion with other product teams to bring tangible results to market. Plan and Execute a successful rollout of new features, including documentation, education, and support/training to Demo and other departments as needed. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years' experience in software development. Strong understanding of database structure and design. Knowledge of software development lifecycles. Experience with Project Management and/or Agile Project Management methods and practices. Familiarity with current tools and technologies. A proven ability to deliver in-depth solutions for competing stakeholder requirements in expedited timelines on highly visible projects. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, active listening, presentation and analytical/problem solving skills. A demonstrated ability to successfully collaborate across team or division boundaries.
