Data Systems Analysts, Inc. is searching for a Systems Administrator II. This is Contingent on award of the ATEC proposal. The Systems Administrator will be responsible for planning and delivering contracted services to the Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) located at on-site in Aberdeen, Maryland. ATEC is one of DOD s foremost test and training organizations supporting DOD, non-DOD, and commercial materiel developers by testing a broad spectrum of equipment throughout their life cycles, from concept through deployment. The scope of this effort is to provide a select range of Information Technology (IT), IT logistics and cybersecurity services. The IT services encompass all activities necessary to provide project management; software & application development and maintenance; network management; system administration and infrastructure operations including Cloud migration and operations; general IT Support including help desk and VTC; and cybersecurity services.The Systems Administrator should have the following experience:

  • Experience in Windows and Unix systems administration including troubleshooting, monitoring, and support
  • Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Information Systems or other closely related discipline and 3+ years of relevant experience OR an Associates Degree and 5+ years of experience OR a Master s Degree and 1+ years of experience OR High School/GED and 7+ years of experience
  • Experience in resolving basic and intermediate issues associated with system configuration management, resource sharing and basic networking troubleshooting and problem identification
  • Experience in resolving security issues, identity management, records retention, and adhering to destruction policies.
  • Experience using and writing operating system commands and scripts, managing disk configurations, maintenance of hardware and software RAID 1-N, migration, backup and recovery, scripting languages, including one or more of Bash, Powershell, Python, Ruby, and/or Perl.
  • Experience with performance tuning, capacity planning and bottleneck resolution, administration of Microsoft Servers, building and maintaining high-availability, clustered and scalable systems, advanced web technologies such as ASP.NET, pipeline, load balancing
  • Managing production environments using automated install, automated build and deployment, automated configuration management, enterprise monitoring systems, server virtualization, load balancing, web servers, and application servers.
  • Must possess current Security+ (or equivalent DOD Directive 8570.1 IAT II) and at least 1 current Computing Environment certification.
Desired experience includes the following:
  • IT experience in support of the Army.
  • Experience in supporting complex tasks, including review of work products for correctness, compliance with industry 'best practices', DOD standards, and Army standards.
Clearance RequirementsMUST HAVE AN ACTIVE DOD TOP SECRET CLEARANCE; this will be verified prior to interview. Therefore, can be considered for this position.Salary and Benefits include but not limited to:
