Data Systems Analysts, Inc. is searching for an Systems Administrator. This position is contingent upon award of the ATEC Proposal.Data Systems Analysts, Inc. is searching for a Systems Administrator IV. The Systems Administrator will be responsible for planning and delivering contracted services to the Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) located at on-site in Aberdeen, Maryland. ATEC is one of DOD s foremost test and training organizations supporting DOD, non-DOD, and commercial materiel developers by testing a broad spectrum of equipment throughout their life cycles, from concept through deployment. The scope of this effort is to provide a select range of Information Technology (IT), IT logistics and cybersecurity services. The IT services encompass all activities necessary to provide project management; software & application development and maintenance; network management; system administration and infrastructure operations including Cloud migration and operations; general IT Support including help desk and VTC; and cybersecurity services.The Systems Administrator should have the following experience:
- Experience in Windows and Unix systems administration including troubleshooting, event and performance monitoring, and support
- Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Information Systems or other closely related discipline and 7+ years of relevant experience OR an Associates Degree and 9+ years of experience OR a Master s Degree and 5+ years of experience OR High School/GED and 11+ years of experience
- 5 years of experience leading 5 or more employees
- Experience with TCP/IP, firewalls, routing, VLANs, general network troubleshooting, resource allocation and utilization for large databases, disk configuration, including the maintenance of hardware and software RAID 1-N
- Experience with database design, data modeling and query execution, database replication, migration, backup and recovery
- Worked with clustered and scalable systems, load balancing, management of a production environment with the following: automated install, automated build and deployment, automated configuration management, enterprise monitoring systems, server virtualization, load balancing, web servers, and application servers
- Experience with scripting languages, including one or more of: bash, PowerShell, python, ruby, Perl
- UNIX variants, particularly installation and configuration of Red Hat Linux; Network Attached Storage
- Must possess current Security+ (and at least 1 current Computing Environment certification for Windows and UNIX).
- IT experience in support of the Army.
- Experience in supporting complex tasks, including review of work products for correctness, compliance with industry 'best practices', DOD standards, and Army standards.
- The hours for this role are Full-time, Regular - Start and End times are dependent on customer requirements
