Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking a Software Developer for a US Army program at Aberdeen Proving Ground with current teleworking due to Covid and future teleworking as well. This position is supporting a web portal patching tool for field operations. Candidates must have a Secret Security Clearance and experience working in command line scripting (PowerShell highly sought after).
Responsibilities for the Software Developer:- Experience with PowerShell is required. Experience with JavaScript (and associated frameworks), and MVC or MVVM is highly desired.
- Must be able to design, develop, and maintain software for a variety of engineering applications.
- Must be able to work with analysts to understand their analytic or interface requirements.
- Virtual Server Stack - (Multiple) Windows 10 Client Machines Windows Server 2016 - Replica of End User Server SQL Server 2016 NodeJS Angular, ISS Webserver Visual Studio Code TFS Team Foundation Server
- Development stack - Developers have developer laptops. Connected to the internal network. Team Foundation Server - Code Repository (Check-in, Check-out), Windows Server 2016 virtual machine is being used as a testing bed, along with multiple virtual machines of Windows 10 Client Machines.
- Maintenance/sustainment development will consist of constant routine GUI improvements, routine field requests for improvement development changes, incorporation of a larger subset of systems, which will increase the complexity of our design and overall development schema (Different Networks). Standing up application/GUI on a dedicated webserver. Constant testing, code improvements/refactoring.
- Bachelor's Degree in STEM Related field (Can be substituted with 3 additional years of experience)
- 7+ Years Experience in Software Development.
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks to include Node.JS, Angular.JS or React.JS
- Command-line scripting experience with PowerShell(Preferred), Shell, Batch, or Bash Scripting
- $120,000-$150,000 annually
