The Configuration Analyst plans and coordinates preparation of project documentation, such as engineering drawings, production specifications and schedules, and contract modifications, to ensure customer contract requirements are met. Reviews contract to determine documentation required for each phase of project, applying knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes. Analyzes proposed changes of product design to determine effect on overall product and system. Coordinates modification records for management control. Establishes change orders and prepares for change authorization and documentation by company and subcontractor. Reviews and analyzes released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities. The Principal Configuration Analyst is responsible for planning and implementing a comprehensive configuration management (CM) and Data Management (DM) process on major programs, in accordance with established CM practices that are based on EIA/649 and customer contract requirements. This involves the preparation of work products in the areas of configuration identification, change control management, status accounting, and configuration audits. Specific tasks include family trees, config uration control board administration, engineering change proposals, variances, status accounting reports, coordinating functional and physical configuration audits and preparation and configuring of all deliverables. Reviewing contract to determine documentation required for each phase of the project, applying knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes. Establish change orders and prepare for change authorization and documentation. Review and analyze released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities. The Northrop Grumman CM tool Information System for Engineering (ISE) will be used as the system of record for controlling document status and bills of material. This position can be filled at level 2 OR 3 Basic Qualifications: Configuration Analyst: Bachelor degree plus 3 years of relevant experience, Master's degree plus 1 year of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Preferred degrees: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related fields. Good oral and written communication skills and the ability to interface well with program management/customers is required. TS/SCI required Principal Configuration Analyst Bachelor degree plus 6 years of relevant experience. 10 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Preferred degrees: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related fields. This position requires demonstrated experience: establishing and following CM/DM processes throughout project life cycles to maintain consistent configuration control, developing, operating, and maintaining CM database and other process management tools, maintaining the Hardware and Software Configuration Management Plan, managing CM products and documentation, and preparing/publishing results of configuration audits. - DM duty aspects include contract and proposal reviews, CLIN management, CDRL and SDRL deliverables and to meet program milestones. Good oral and written communication skills and the ability to interface well with program management/customers is required. TS/SCI required Preferred Qualifications: - Demonstrated experience configuring, administering, and maintaining SharePoint, a working knowledge of CM Tool(s) with check-in/check-out capabilities (TeamCenter, ClearCase, CMPro, etc.), - Active SCI clearance (strongly preferred) - Working knowledge with Information Systems for Engineering (ISE) and experience with CMMI Configuration Management Processes (Level 3).
