job detailsjob summary:Job Description:The Telecom Systems Engineer will take a lead role in performing technical and administrative tasks supporting department and enterprise voice communications systems. Should have experience with telecommunications, project management of voice related initiatives, networking, voice systems configuration and administration, voice system upgrades, and adjunct support. Typical duties will include working with our Telecommunications Partner on upgrades and patch management of voice products, updating equipment Inventory documentation of the telephony infrastructure and voice network infrastructure, and Providing technical direction and engineering knowledge for activities including planning, designing, developing, testing, installing and maintaining large enterprise telecommunications environments. The engineer will also be responsible for documentation of processes/procedures and system configuration.Requirements:
Experience supporting voice and network services implementation and integration
At least 3 years experience with voice systems administration and configuration (Cisco)
Previous experience with Avaya environments and components
Telecommunications protocols, communications, and standards, H.323, MGCP, SIP and E.164
Network knowledge (WAN/LAN)
VolP/SlP knowledge
Preferred Experience:
Understanding of voice call flows
Experience with call recording technologies
Previous Contact Center experience
Experience with Cisco Expressways- C & E configurations
