Piper Companies is currently seeking a driven

Molecular Technician to join an internationally recognized oncology diagnostic team in

Annapolis, MD . The

Molecular Technician will work within a fast-paced environment on the cutting-edge of oncological research.

Responsibilities for the Molecular Technician:

• Perform DNA/RNA extraction on human samples in a CLIA regulated environment

• Analyze and implement genomic programs to evaluate allied technologies

• Prepare samples to run on PCR (automated and manual) equipment

• Assist with accessioning and sample receipt

• Support assay development

• Upkeep and maintenance of lab equipment

• Keeping detailed records of completed activities

Requirements for the Molecular Technician:

• 2 + years of experience with molecular techniques (Next-Generation Sequencing preferred but not required)

• Experience CLIA, CAP, and/or GLP regulations

• Prior experience with DNA/RNA extraction

• Bachelor's degree in Biology or a relevant field

Compensation for the Molecular Technician:

• Salary: based on relevant years of experience
