The position will be located in Annapolis Junction, MD. Your roles and responsibilities may include: Designs, documents, tests, debugs, and monitors application software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met. #AJ2021
Basic Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline and nine years of relevant experience or a high school diploma and thirteen years of relevant experience.
- 7+ years' experience as a System Engineer supporting the full system development lifecycle in a Linux environment
- Basic understanding of Object Oriented and Structured development methodologies and languages
- Experience with application sustainment metrics monitoring
- Experience with automation applications or technologies
- Active TS/SCI with poly clearance
- Familiarity with Kibana or equivalent Elasticsearch visualizations
- Familiarity with software design patterns
- Experience with JIRA
- Experience in Agile Software Development Life Cycle
- Experience with Nagios or equivalent monitoring beacon environment
- Experience with at least 4 of the following:
- Performance / load / stress testing
- System optimization techniques
- Operational sustainment
- Metrics visualizations
- Data interface testing
- Data migration testing
- User interface testing
- Security testing
- Regression testing
- Formal requirements verification testing
- Systems integration testing
- Data flow testing and analysis
