Senior-Level Full Stack Java Developer to join their project in

Annapolis Junction, MD (currently REMOTE during COVID restrictions.) In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting back-end services for cloud-ready, microservices-based applications leveraging open-source products.

This is an outstanding opportunity to work on a Federal Project in support of a U.S. Homeland Security mission. Per our Federal Government Contract, candidates must be

U.S. Citizens with

an interim or active Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Understand defined requirements as provided and perform low-level design
  • Develop coding based on design specifications, existing modules, and/or direction from technical lead, including initial set up of development environment and documenting prototype and final solution
  • Participate in/conduct incident analysis demonstrating/ensuring adherence to corporate and development standards
  • Develop and execute unit and integration test plans; identify problems and execute corrective action to fix
  • Participate in/conduct code reviews and walkthroughs by demonstrating/ensuring adherence to corporate and development standards

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience with Java/J2EE and ORM
  • 5+ years of experience with the following:
    • Developing Spring/Spring Boot
    • Building Restful web services
    • Using a testing framework (JUnit)
  • Experience and knowledge of the following:
    • Version control (Git, ClearCase, CVS)
    • Developing micro-services-based applications
    • Developing in RHEL virtual environments and Docker containers
    • Performing Component Design
    • Developing Systems Documentation and Unit Test Plans
  • Per our Federal Government Contract, candidates must be

    U.S. Citizens with an interim or active Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Agile development experience
  • DevOps experience
  • Experience with OpenShift platform
  • Knowledge of and experience with the following open source products and tools: Spring Boot, Spring Rest, Spring Security, Hibernate, Zuul, Rabbit MQ, Gradle, Gitlab, Solr, Java Scheduling (Quartz), Java I/O, and XML parsing(Xerces/Xalan), Selenium, and Thymeleaf
