Data Systems Analysts, Inc. is searching for an Information Assurance Specialist to support the Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC) Headquarters located in Aberdeen, MD. Successful candidates shall provide technical support and guidance to senior leadership to include the following:
- Support the protection and defense of information and information systems by ensuring their availability, integrity, authentication, confidentiality, and non-repudiation in accordance with guidance set by Presidential orders, Department of Defense (DOD) regulations, Army regulations and industry best practices.
- Develop, document, enforce, audit, remediate and update information assurance controls, policies, procedures, Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and maintain configuration management for all information systems to support the command and subordinate centers.
- Transition previous Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) accreditation policies, procedures, and packages to meet Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements and maintain them throughout the systems lifecycle.
- Assist with Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) and tasker responses including review Risk Management Framework packages before submitting to the senior command.
- Communicate and provide support for all CCDC subordinate organizations for entering systems and packages required for accreditation including support, coordination, and tracking to closure any IA related taskers from HQ.
- Provide updates to any policy or documentation required for IA including provide weekly reports on RMF, Federal Information Security Management (FISMA), and IA training.
- Standard Requirement: Possess a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or a related discipline as well as ten (10) years of general experience and six (6) years of relevant experience.
- Tradeoff Requirement: Possess an Associates' degree in C Information Technology or Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent technical certifications, as well as twelve (12) years of general experience and eight (8) years of relevant experience.
- Possess at least two (2) years' of experience in conducting information technology audits, incident responses, and/or network monitoring at the Enterprise level, to include the use of security tools to conduct such work
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Shall have an active security-related certification (Certified Authorization Professional (CAP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Security+) Word.
- Active Top Secret/SCI eligible security clearance required
- The hours for this role are Full-time, Regular - Start and End times are dependent on customer requirements
