Trigyn's direct government client has a long term need for an IT Training Specialist in Baltimore, MD.

NOTE : This is an on-site position in the downtown Baltimore. During the pandemic, there will be some limited teleworking permitted, but the candidate must be willing to work on site as required.

Description:The Information Technology Training Specialist is responsible for the ultimate delivery of technology training programs and workshops to department personnel including sworn members and civilians. The Information Technology Training Specialist monitors the effectiveness of training of personnel using individual or group performance results, while collecting feedback on sessions from attendees to use for future improvements to content and presentation. The Information Technology Training Specialist creates and/or contributes to new training program design and existing program enhancements.The Information Technology Training Specialist creates and refines lesson plans and training aids while mastering numerous subject matters, training programs and functions of department.The Information Technology Training Specialist interacts with all levels of client personnel (e.g., command staff, supervisors, officers, administrators, etc.) and with all business units and disciplines.

Roles and Responsibilities: Lead the development of information technology (IT) training plans, determining instructional strategies and methods, and developing learning materials. IT project training goals and objectives based on the project management plan, inclusive of change management and training sub-plans. Deliver planned and ad hoc training sessions onsite and remotely. Create training course materials to include lesson plans, user guides, videos, quick reference guides, course outlines, FAQs, and exercises, completion certificates and critique forms. Manage course content, course rosters and course syllabuses. Become the subject matter expert on many technology systems, business processes and workflows. Deliver IT training across the various units per project and implementation schedules. Partner with the various units to provide support and guidance to all levels of the organization (e.g., command staff, supervisors, officer, administration, etc.) during IT system implementation and transition to operations. Assess IT training effectiveness and user competency, identify gaps and recommend solutions for continued improvement. Develop and execute change management strategy and planning to support user adoption of IT applications. Build positive relationships and collaborate with IT project teams, project sponsors and advisors, leadership and other key stakeholders. Define key success metrics and manage measurement to track adoption, utilization and effectiveness of new IT systems. Work cohesively with other training resources (e.g., Education and Training Division) to weave IT training into the core curriculum for new recruit and in-service training. Commit to improving one's own knowledge and skills. Keep the Chief Technology Officer and IT Director informed of all training activities and requests.

Accomplished presentation and group facilitation skills. Familiar with eLearning tools and technologies. Knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools. Familiar with deployments of large enterprise applications. Skilled in Microsoft Office tools. Skilled in training content authoring/creation tools such as Adobe Captivate and Articulate Storyline 360. Familiarity with PowerDMS.

Experience: At least four (4) years work experience in information systems development, training or related fields. At least two (2) years experience in developing and providing IT-related end user training for complex software applications. At least two (2) years experience conducting courses in a classroom and remotely over a network in an engaging manner.

Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Education/Training in the areas of Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline.
