The UPMC Center for Emergency Medicine is looking to hire a Full-Time Pilot to support MedEvac 10 in Baltimore, MD.Purpose:The STAT MedEvac Aviation Department Pilot in Command is directly responsible for, and is the final authority over the safe operation of an assigned aircraft on a CEM released flight. The Pilot in Command will assure all flight activities adhere to the Federal Aviation Regulations as well as CEM policy and procedures.Responsibilities:
Coordinate with flight follower with regard to duty time, aircraft and weather status.
Ensure aircraft is in airworthy condition.
Conduct on demand flights in a manner that the safe completion is never in doubt.
Maintain a current flight kit with the aircraft that is appropriate for flight accepted.
FAA Instrument rating-rotorcraft.
Thorough knowledge of Part 135 Federal Aviation Regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Good computer skills.
Two year degree or equivalent experience.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Commercial Pilot License (CPL)
