We are currently seeking a Red Hat Linux System Administrator for a long term contracting position (minimum 1 year with a potential to extend for multiple years) in Woodlawn, MD.
Because of client clearance requirements, candidates must be US Citizens or green card holders and able to pass a public trust clearance. We are looking for local candidates to the Baltimore, MD area as this position could become a hybrid schedule (2-3 days onsite each week), but is currently remote (will NOT remain remote and could become a hybrid schedule at any time). This role requires candidates with:- Bachelor's degree and 6 years of relative experience; Master's degree and 4 years of relative experience; or 10 years of relative experience in an IT field in lieu of a degree.
- 4 years Red Hat Enterprise Linux x/7.x Operating System experience
- 2 years WebSphere, ColdFusion and Apache Application Server platforms for both configuration and troubleshooting of hosted applications experience.
- 2 years PERL and Python scripting
- 1 year XML
- 1 year of commonly used Linux tools such as JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket
- Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
