Senior IT Infrastructure & Operations Analyst
This position will need to be based somewhat near the Baltimore area but can eventually be more remoteWhat makes this fun?You will be providing guidance on some of the most complex infrastructure circumstances, along with providing project-based technical leadership within the IT Infrastructure & Operations team. You will Interact with network services, software systems engineering, and applications development teams to restore service and/or identify and correct core problems.Influencing and recommending systems modifications which will reduce user problems are also at the core of this 'complex infrastructure'.A look into a day in the life- You provide complex solution second-tier support to end users for either PC, server, or mainframe applications and hardware
- You are applying in-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure to perform complex technical assignments
- You are simulating and recreating user problems to resolve operating difficultiesResearching, analyzing, developing, and documenting new processes and procedures to implement and improv new solutions which solve for future problems
- Maintain and support IT infrastructure in a 24 x 7 production environment
- Perform Windows and Linux system builds
- Setup, maintain, and support Active Directory domains (sites, DNS & DHCP). create group policies in Active Directory and manage users/groups
- Execute firmware upgrades, OS upgrades, patches, and hardware upgrades
- Create, review, and update runbooks and standard operating procedure documentation
- You have in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge related to IT Infrastructure & Operations
- The Linux and Windows experience server operating systems experience you have is GREAT!
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies like VMware/Hyper-V? YES
- AND Incident and change management process knowledge (like ITIL) - WHAT
- Ability to AUTOMATE and manage systems via PowerShell and BASH scripting - YES YES!
- And if keeps getting better because you also have experience with monitoring tool (SCOM, Nagios, Zabbix, AppDynamics, PagerDuty, etc.)
- And you have Experience and\or certifications with cloud technologies (Azure or AWS)
- And you have hands on experience managing SAN\AS storage
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experience
