As a hybrid role, an in-office presence will be required for meetings and collaboration as needed, but the majority of time this role will allow the flexibility to work from home.Travel will also be required for this role, with visits to other office locations anticipated 2-3 times per year.PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITIONConstellation is seeking a candidate for the Sr. Analyst/Principal, Commercialization & Development team who will be responsible for supporting the Constellation Technology Venture portfolio companies to pilot, commercialize and scale emerging technologies and solutions. The successful candidate will have experience developing new products, customer-facing engagement, and supporting strategic and growth initiatives. The candidate will lead end-to-end project management of CTV commercial deployments of new products/technology ensuring operational effectiveness and customer satisfaction. The candidate will: i) establish themselves as internal technical expert on the new product commercialization; and ii) leverage their technical expertise and sales capabilities to advance business development opportunities that align with Constellation’s strategic fit.PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Develop a deep understanding of CTV’s portfolio company products and technologies, their respective sales and marketing strategies, and determine thoughtful synergies within the broader Constellation framework.
Understand the types of customers/stakeholders served in various Constellation business lines with a particular emphasis on Constellation’s retail commodity or distributed energy business.
Lead solution development in collaboration with the CTV portfolio firm. Lead in end-to-end project management of CTV commercial deployments of new products/technology ensuring operational effectiveness and customer satisfaction
Assist CTV leadership with the strategic and operational management of portfolio companies
Work cooperatively with Constellation’s business units to implement deployment strategies for CTV portfolio companies’ technologies and internal innovations, and analyze and measure effectiveness
POSITION SPECIFICATIONSMinimum Qualifications – Senior Analyst level
5 + years of experience in energy retail or utility sales/marketing, technology/software/strategy consulting, investment management or
asset management
Bachelor’s degree with a record of academic achievement required
Strong analytical, financial, and computer skills
Strong presentation skills capable of presenting externally and internally to all levels of the organization
A demonstrated ability of working cooperatively with all levels of management and staff but without direct authority
Strong modeling, presentation-building, and verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Minimum Qualifications – Principal Analyst level
8+ years of experience in energy retail or utility sales/marketing, strategy consulting, investment management or
asset management
Bachelor’s degree with a record of academic achievement required
Strong analytical, financial, and computer skills
Strong presentation skills capable of presenting externally and internally to all levels of the organization
A demonstrated ability of working cooperatively with all levels of management and staff but without direct authority
A demonstrated understanding of Constellation commercial business units and personnel
Strong modeling, presentation-building, and verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications ( Both levels )
Previous experience in new product development, go to market strategy and/or growth initiatives, highly preferred
Direct energy, consulting, or software/ technology company experience a plus.
Entrepreneurial spirit and self-motivation to weather potential business failures and/or product/technology changes
Deep personal interest and passion in energy technology, startups, and innovation.
Intermediate Excel skills, such as pivot tables and v-lookups
Master’s Degree a plus
