Position Description CGI Federal is seeking an expert in the Informatica data governance suite of tools with emphasis on Enterprise Data Catalog, Data Quality, and Axon Data Governance. The candidate must have a keen understanding of data governance principles in a large organization and work with both business and technical professionals to implement the toolset. A commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality products are important.

Your future duties and responsibilities Work closely with stakeholders to establish and align customer strategic enterprise data needs, on data governance structures and protocols to support smooth change management for new / improved data standards and processes. Advise and collaborate with business data stewards to advance and optimize the adoption of enterprise data engagement through the execution of use cases, supporting data and metadata standards adoption. Design, develop and facilitate clients' business and technical metadata as well as data quality routines and frameworks. Provide leadership on the design, development and configuration of data catalog resources, data profiling, data lineage, data relationships, and data domains for clients based on business and technical requirements Implement industry best practices for data governance using the features of the Informatica data governance toolset. Gathers and translates business requirements into configuration requirements for the Informatica toolset. Collaborates with other project members and drives the enterprise configuration and implementation of the toolset. Understands database design, programming concepts, data modeling and framework management as applicable to data governance. Operations support and enhancement of the Enterprise Data Catalog/Informatica data governance toolset. Supports project documentation as required and Coach and mentor others on best practices and tools Other work includes, but is not limited to: Validation of performance metric requirements, Creation and validation of dashboards and KPI Reports

Required qualifications to be successful in this role Bachelor's Degree and 14+ years of work experience in a Business related field OR Master's degree and 8+ years of work experience in a Business related field 5+ years working with Informatica data governance toolset. Self-driven, resourceful, and able to achieve goals with minimum supervision, work well in groups, project management experience a plus Automate and operationalize ingestion of new metadata sources, coordinate resolution of any data source ingestion issues, provide operations support and enhancements of the Enterprise Data Catalog tool Experience with MS Office Suite Critical to have outstanding business acumen and ability to comprehend business processes Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing, and team collaboration skills Ability to learn quickly and adapt learned methodologies to train others

Preferred qualifications: Hands on experience configuring EDC, Metadata catalog tools including but not limited to business glossaries, dashboards, policies, search, and process maps Experience creating scripts to automate Informatica administration tasks, schedules, and deployment activities
