Plaza Artist Materials Picture Framing is looking for a FT experienced framer to join our team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist production team members in the completion of time sensitive jobs
Work independently
Flexibility during holiday hours
Answering phone calls in a professional manner
Intra-company communication regarding frame jobs
Adherence to company policies and framing procedures
Maintaining a clean and orderly work environment
Shared trash duties
SKILLS NEEDED:
Knowledge of art mediums and methods of mounting for art mediums
Ability to cut 4 ply and 8 ply mats by hand
Ability to use a computerized mat cutting (CMC) system
Experience cutting glass
Experience with the use of a dry mount press
Use of a double mitre saw
Frame joining using a Caseese under-pinner
Canvas stretching
Shadow box construction/completion
Experience framing textiles
Existing knowledge of framing products, framing vendors, and framing industry specific tools
Must be computer literate and possess basic arithmetic skills
Must posses stamina
Must be able to lift boxes up to 50 lbs
Preferred knowledge of Life Saver picture framing software
EXPERIENCE:
The successful candidate should have at least 2 years of previous picture framing experience in a framing production environment
