Royal Rabbit Vineyards, a Boutique winery focused on quality Maryland Wine, Cider and Mead is looking for a person with winery sales or retail (B2C and B2B) wine sales experience. .However, we are willing to train the right motivated candidate. Home winemakers are strongly encouraged to apply. The right person must be able to work as part of a team to support Tasting Room operations in a manner that achieves the established financial goals, ensures a rich consumer experience, builds consumer loyalty and reflects the brand essence. Your principal functions are to help build our Wine Club membership, sell wines, promote selling seats to special events and encourage customer loyalty. Duties include: maintaining the tasting room/retail space and assisting tasting room management with all public functions, including cheerful and intelligent customer interaction, product knowledge, product presentations, cash register operations, keeping the public areas clean and clutter free and promoting a welcoming appearance, inventory, stock shelves and at all times provide exemplary service and attention to details. You must also be able to work with owners/winemaker to create and strengthen partnerships with retail stores/restaurants and other local businesses. Knowledge of social media is a plus. Due to Maryland liquor laws you must be at least 21 years of age. Hours are Saturday and Sunday 11-5pm. Salary plus commission. This is a contract position.
