Tidewater is seeking Direct Mail Programmer to join our team and create and manage a data department! Tidewater is creating a Data Department to support its new Notepad business and develop internal competencies to use its two Screen Inkjet presses (520HD and 520NX) more effectively.
About the Role:
This position is semi-remote, allowing programmers within a few hours’ distance to work from home while maintaining occasional in-person collaboration as needed.
Establishing this department will take someone with a knowledge of the software needed, security protocols necessary, and a strong understanding of direct mail data management.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish a department by creating data protocols, procuring and implementing personalization software, and working with Tidewater’s production team
Develop and implement security protocols, and potentially implement high level security protocols such as SOC2
Set up mail files and manage NCOA, deduplication, presorts, ASK builds, and scan lines
Ensure compliance with USPS regulations, best practices in data handling, and privacy guidelines.
Skills & Qualifications:
Strong experience with direct mail programming or similar roles (preferably in a marketing agency or direct marketing environment).
Expertise in USPS regulations and direct mail technologies.
Familiarity with NCOA, deduplication, presorts, ASK builds, and scan lines.
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and dynamic content generation for direct mail.
Experience with data integration (e.g., working with CRM or customer databases).
Knowledge of variable data printing and related technologies.
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Problem-solving mindset with excellent communication skills.
