SQL Server Database Administrator (Mid-Level)
Position Description CGI Federal is seeking a Mid-Level DBA with SQL Server experience to join our team Your attention to detail and positive attitude will be highly valued in this high profile position. The resource will provide data analytics, BI and data visualization support to the Office of Customer Support.This position is location at the client site in Woodlawn, MDYour future duties and responsibilities• Design and Develop ETL packages• Debug existing ETL packages• Write complex SQL queries against a large number of tables• Job functionality include expertise with SSIS, SSRS and SSAS• Fine tune SQL queries• Ability to take backup and restore databases• Document database architecture.• Maintain/build database schemas, tables, views, and stored procedures.• Analyze and maintain performance requirements.• Monitor database systems• Database maintenance• Assist developers as needed• Create ad-hoc and standard reports• Communicate complex topics to team through both written and oral communications• Assist in conducting research, develop strategies and implement processes to identify trends, forecast conditions and support SSA's national customer service standards, goals and objectives.• Develop, implement and maintain management information systems includes data modeling and report design, to assess the impact of various program/procedural/policy and operational changes.• Provide Business Intelligence (BI) and data visualization support, which includes, but limited to support for the online customer service dashboards and other ad-hoc requests requiring data analysis and visual support across all service channels.Required qualifications to be successful in this role• Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Computer Science or IT field• 3+ years of experience with SQL Server with at least 7 years of work/IT related experience• SQL Developer expertise required - should be well versed in writing SQL queries.• SQL development background with experience in data mart / data warehouse environments• Expertise with SSIS, SSRS and SSAS required.• Experience in creating executive/summary level reports• Experience with BI tools and data visualization• Knowledge of best practices in data visualization and business intelligence including strong data features and capabilities and how that is implemented for business solutions• Excellent oral and written communication skills• SQL development background with experience in data mart / data warehouse environments• Should be work with minimal supervision and guidance• Should be able to work individually• Understanding of contact center and SSA data is preferredDesired qualifications:• Experience with Coldfusion, TSQL, Javascript, HTML a plus.• Government clearance and/or Social Security Administration experience a plus.#CGIFederalJobBuild your career with us.It is an extraordinary time to be in business.
