ASRC Federal is seeking an experienced Costpoint Functional Administrator. Must be able to work onsite in Beltsville, MD.

Key Role: Support Deltek Costpoint 7.1., Deltek Costpoint 8.0. and Deltek Time and Expense (T&E) 10. This position may require periodic night/weekend work to support payroll, month-end and closing activities/special projects.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and maintain documentation, including requirements, specifications, process flows and procedures and provide expertise and assistance to ensure all process are designed to meet DCAA, audit and security practices
  • Ensure change control procedures and processes are followed in accordance with policies
  • Work with Database and System Administrators along with other technical SMEs to monitor system performance and processing, troubleshoot performance issues, investigate critical system errors, capture traces, and analyze server logs
  • Lead the evaluation, escalation and resolution of defects with the Costpoint and T&E vendor (Deltek)
  • Evaluate scenarios, and work with user community to devise and execute various test plans including unit, system, regression, UAT and integration
  • Configure and maintain Costpoint System Admin Module
  • Act as functional SME for all Costpoint modules, such as: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, project setup, cost revenue, billing, employee, labor, payroll, compensation, personnel, cost pools, fixed assets, procurement, etc.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the front-end application screens, functions and job processing and how these ties to the database tables and other applications, functions and processes
  • Maintain underlying Costpoint and Deltek T&E databases and concepts - ERD, working/temp tables, etc.
  • Develop training material and deliver training in any of the major Costpoint modules
  • Manage user setup, security, printing, file management, job management, and workflow for Deltek systems
  • Provide support to Finance, Accounting and Business Intelligence Groups and IT
  • Support the use of Deltek security models, dedicated job servers, print file locations and associated security, and module extensibility to facilitate greater efficiency in the daily usage of the Costpoint application

Responsibilities

Basic Qualifications
  • 5-8 years of hands on experience in Costpoint support and administration required
  • Ability to research, determine relevance, organize and formulate recommendations involving complex financial information and systems pertaining to Costpoint
  • Advanced Excel skills a must as well as proficiency with MS Office
  • Proven partnering with multiple internal departments to include strong background in supporting cross-functional teams
  • Ability to contribute to a professional work environment by demonstrating integrity, promoting teamwork, and fostering positive communications
  • Ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment is essential
  • Ability to adapt to changing work efforts, manage the impact of shifting priorities, and resolve technical/functional emergencies as they occur
  • Working knowledge of indirect rates, pools and service centers
  • 1+ years of experience with Costpoint Extensibility
  • Experience with all aspects of technical support for Costpoint and Deltek Time & Expense (TE) systems. This includes system upgrades, planning, design, SOX/Audits as well as troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
  • Understanding of the underlying Costpoint and Deltek TE databases and concepts - ERD, working/temp tables, etc.
  • Strong understanding of the underlying infrastructure setup (i.e. web servers, app servers, job servers, database servers) and how it relates to the Database and Application
  • Working knowledge of front-end applications screens, functions and job processing and how these ties to the database tables and other applications, functions and processes
  • Strong written skills required to include design specs, test scripts (unit and functional), and requirements documents
  • Willing to work nights and weekends to process, monitor and support month end closing activities and special projects
  • Understanding of cloud and SaaS platform-based company operations, and infrastructure
  • Ability to interface with personnel at all levels directly or virtually
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills and the ability to manage a wide variety of activities and projects simultaneously
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to high quality work
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills including grammar, punctuation and spelling
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with ability to meet security compliance requirements

Additional Qualifications:
  • Multi-company Costpoint experience is desired
  • Experience working on Costpoint upgrades and on Costpoint Reimplementation's
  • Experience with Cognos and TM1 is a plus
  • Experience with Costpoint IWO, SubK, and CMI modules is highly desired
  • Business Analyst skills to translate functional requirements into application solutions
  • Understanding of PL/SQL packages, triggers, stored procedures, indexes, functions, tables, and views is a plus
  • Experience working with IT security audits
  • Ability to articulate financial information and policies to staff and senior leadership across the organization
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business is desired
  • Proven experience in analyzing financial data as well as financial reporting and forecasting is a plus
  • Prior experience in a federal government contracting environment with DCAA and DCMA audits
