Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a System Administrator in Beltsville, Maryland, to support our Threat Analysis and Cyber Incident Response teams.
Responsibilities for the System Administrator include: • Work with engineers to support existing and new information technology infrastructure across multiple networks and domains • Implement and coordinate hardware and software upgrades, including troubleshooting • Offer system administration support for VMware and Linux (RHEL preferred), including work with system security, network availability, and systems/network analysis • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for networking inquiries and offer recommendations for improvements to those devices and systems • Assist with administering our cyber security tools, to include Splunk, Rapid7, Cylance, and othersQualifications for the System Administrator include: • 3+ years of IT experience and a Bachelor's Degree (additional experience can substitute for degree) • Demonstrated knowledge of system administration and networking principles • Willingness to learn and an interest in cyber security strongly preferred • Active Secret or Top Secret Clearance required (upgrade to Top Secret will be initiated if a Secret is currently held)Compensation for the System Administrator includes: • Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000 • Full Benefits: Cigna Health/Dental/Vision, 401k with ADP Retirement, Holidays, and Paid Time OffKeywords:System administrator, systems administration, sysadmin, network, switch, switches, troubleshoot, Tier 1, Tier 2, software, hardware, upgrade, it infrastructure, information technology, network support, network connectivity, VMware, vSphere, vCenter, virtualization, red hat, RHEL, linux, cyber security, servers, patching, scripting, scripts, powershell, bash, Beltsville, Maryland, MD, health, dental, vision, 401k, pto, paid time off, holiday, secret.
