Our Fortune 500 hospitality client is looking for a Program Manager/Release Train Engineer to join their team in Bethesda, MD on a HYBRID schedule.
Requirements:- Able to commute to Bethesda, MD on a hybrid schedule (1 day/week)
- 7+ years of Scrum Master or Project/Program Manager experience or leading Agile Release Train(s) as a Release Train Engineer, including the ceremonies of backlog grooming, standups, sprint planning, sprint review, and retrospective
- Strong project management experience (certifications such as CAPM or PMP preferred)
- Training or certification in SAFe
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience or certification (graduate/post-graduate degree preferred)
- Must have experience with JIRA and Confluence
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong oral and written communication skills with all levels of associates, internal, and external customers
- Practical problem-solving and strategic thinking skills
- Willing and able to get down in the details to "make things happen"
- Responsibilities:
- Facilitate getting work done through supporting, guiding, and influencing the team from a servant-leader philosophy
- Facilitate Pre-PI planning through working with Product Management to manage epics, features, proposed PI objectives, and Program backlogs
- Facilitate PI Planning
- Manage Program PI Objectives including tracking and reporting progress of objectives and features
- Facilitate ART Sync, PO sync, Scrum of Scrums, demos, and Inspect and Adapt workshops as necessary
- Facilitating product syncs with multiple dependent vendors
- Partner with project managers and product managers to manage program-level risks and dependencies
- Work cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering, and business stakeholders to ensure strategic and execution alignment
- Partner with Product and Agile Coaches to proactively identify and continually document best practices, Agile standards, knowledge articles, and case studies to enable Agile Transformation
- Facilitate technical discussions, decision-making, conflict resolution, and continuous improvement
