This position is Telework except one day (1) a week on-site in Bethesda MD!

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Network Security Engineer Lead to support infrastructure changes, work with architects on POC and new technology deployment, manage the security infrastructure and policy base, troubleshoot daily issues, and support the network engineering lead with workflow and resource management. The ideal candidate will have experience managing security projects, analyzing traffic flow, and working with vendors. Responsibilities:

  • Work with architects on POC and new technology deployment
  • Manage the security infrastructure and policy base.
  • Troubleshoot daily issues.
  • Support network engineering lead with workflow and resource management
  • Manage scope and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Deploy policies, create traffic map, and analyze traffic flow.
  • Data Center Micro-segmentation and securitization
  • SSL Decryption and Load balancing
  • Work with systems owners and other teams to troubleshoot and resolve networking issues.
  • Recommend technologies and processes that improve the overall security of the NIH network.
Requirements:

  • Experience with CISCO Firewalls
  • Knowledge of Network Segmentation
  • Knowledge of ICS/SCADA/OT security
  • Experience with Network Monitoring
  • Experience with Incident Response
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust network security
  • Experience with Firewall configuration
  • Experience with SSL Encryption and Load Balancing
  • Strong communication and project management skills
Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, or other relevant certifications preferred.
