CompuGain is an Information Technology and Business Consulting firm providing project-based solutions, software solutions and professional staffing services. We are currently hiring a System/ VMware Engineer- Remote for our direct client based out of Bethesda, MD. Responsibilities:
- Initial configuration of hardware when landed in the data center
- Submitting change requests and coordinating with vendors
- Break/fix and troubleshooting activities for new and existing hardware
- Configuration of hardware including setting up servers to specified requirements (cisco UCS/ dell)
- FC Zoning as needed, Storage provisioning
- UCS , VMware , Dell upgrades ,RCM upgrades
- Cisco UCS is required
- ServiceNow experience is a must have
- Dell VxRail & Vblock
- Dell idrac & OME experience preferred
- Hardware needed to be proficient on:
- Cisco hardware including: Cisco Fabric Interconnects (6400 , 6300, 6200 series), Cisco 5108 chassis, B200 M5 blades, c series (c220, c240, c480), s series (S3260)
- MDS switches - Cisco MDS switches (9000 series including MDS director class switches)
- Storage arrays including PURE, Powermax, XIO, Vmax
- Dell hardware including the R series (R740, R640), idrac management, and OME
- Software applications including Service Now, Confluence, Jira, ipam, vCenter, Cisco Director, Cisco Intersight, UCS central, ESXi (6.7+)
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant field required
- 8+ years of experience required of relevant experience - 5 years of engineering experience
