We are recruiting for an

Acquisition Program Manager to work in support of a federal civilian agency managing a team of acquisition and budget professionals.

A current PMP certification is required to be considered for this position.

Location Note: The primary work location is Bethesda, MD and the team is providing remote support during COVID-19.

Our client is currently working in support of this government customer. The Acquisition PM position is contingent upon a new contract award with an August 2021 start date. A signed letter of commitment is required.

Role and responsibilities include:
  • Serve as a project lead for customer delivery supporting acquisitions management
  • Lead a team of acquisition and budget professionals (10-12 staff)
  • Work directly with government stakeholders and provide customer management
  • Develop and deliver reporting including tracking, invoices, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), etc.
  • Support financial management functions for budget formulation and execution

Requirements include:
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Current security clearance or ability to obtain Public Trust
  • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree is a plus
  • Current PMP (FAC-P/PM may be substituted)
  • DAWIA certification is preferred
  • Experience providing acquisition leadership at the program/project level working on-site with a federal government customer
  • Experience managing a team of acquisition and budget personnel
  • Proven experience providing excellent customer management and building stakeholder relationships
  • Experience working across financial management functions including budget formulation and budget execution tasks
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills interacting with a blended government and contractor team
  • Knowledge of National Institutes of Health (NIH) contracts is a plus
  • Experience supporting IT/technology procurements is a plus
