ALTA IT has a Contract to Hire position open for a Project Manager.
Must have Public Trust to start can start 4-6 weeks We are seeking a Project Manager to support Information Technology projects. These projects encompass the delivery of wired, wireless, and VPN solutions, security solutions, as well as other network infrastructure projects. We expect this position to remain primarily remote. this is a Temp to Permanent position. However, you should live within a reasonable distance to Bethesda, MD should circumstance change or you need to come to the client site for meetings or other duties. In this role, a typical day will include:- Overseeing financial, personnel, cost and technical performance for multiple tasks/projects
- Managing client expectations and leveraging existing client relationships to develop additional business opportunities
- Serving as the primary point-of-contact for clients and providing accurate daily, weekly, and monthly status reports
- Managing electronic copies of project management plans and templates in Microsoft Office Project and PDFs
- Documenting activities in EPLC framework as required
- Utilizing standard project artifacts, schedules, risks, status dashboards, labor hours and other required documents as directed
- Meeting with Government Program Office to review project status as requested
- Documenting all projects in process to provide government leads high level overview of projects that may impact each other
- Reviewing project plans, risk plans, QA plans, requirements management processes and configuration management processes
- Executing project plan as authorized
- Documenting and managing all project modifications
- BS/BA or equivalent and four years' experience or a MS and two years' experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Minimum of three years of experience managing IT projects according to PMI or standards
- Experience managing the deployment of network infrastructure projects, such as IPS, FWs, wired and wireless, and datacenter solutions
- Experience developing project schedules using MS Project
- Experience using SharePoint
- Experience using Excel to track financials and develop ETCs
- Experience liaising with stakeholders in senior management regarding IT needs and requirements.
- Ability to produce PowerPoint presentations
- Experience with ServiceNow
- Network+, CCNA, or other relevant technical certification
